Human Theatre director Tora Hylands will be exhibiting a series of photos as part of the Vancouver Pride / Queer Arts Festival this summer. Tora’s work is a collection of impulsive images taken on her Olympus OM-2 SLR, which she describes as “captured moments of solitude” after realising that every image was either shot while she was alone or with a solitary subject. She prefers the lush quality of film over digital media and usually shoots into light, introducing a random element to the finished image. Tora’s work can be viewed at the J Lounge on Bute Street at Davie, from 6:pm till late, July 29th 2010.

Weekly training with Tora Hylands has concluded for the summer. We had a great few weeks at the 45 West studio space and look forward to doing another training series this fall. Please contact us if you would like to be put on on the list and be notified when it starts up again.
